Counted cross-stitch: An embroidery kit worked in cross-stitch, preferably small in size, on Aida fabric 5.5 stitches/cm or 7 stitches/cm in a light color.

Few colors or monochrome. The design does not require any assembly.

⭐⭐ level 2 - beginner with some prior experience Counted cross-stitch: The embroiderer may choose a cross-stitch kit (main technique), which may include backstitch for outlines. Small or medium-sized design on 7 stitches/cm Aida fabric, in white, mottled, or natural color (grey). A suitable number of colors. Simple finishing and assembly. Examples: bookmarks, eyeglass cases, Christmas hanging decorations.

⭐⭐⭐ level 3 - intermediate embroiderer Counted cross-stitch: The embroiderer is comfortable with cross-stitch and is ready for the first challenge of petit point. They can choose medium-sized designs combining cross-stitch and petit point, or small designs to be stitched entirely in petit point. They can easily embroider on 7 and 8 stitches/cm Aida fabric, as well as 12-thread/cm evenweave fabric for small designs. They may also choose designs featuring a variety of colors and blends, and have some initial sewing experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ level 5 – expert embroiderer Counted cross-stitch: Mastery of various counted-thread techniques (cross-stitch, petit point, backstitch, etc.). Comfortable working with large charts spread across multiple pages. Able to work on evenweave fabric with 12 or 14 threads. Can read and interpret charts with ease.
