Sashiko
Welcome to the Sashiko Collection—a range dedicated to the ancient Japanese embroidery technique. Originally, Sashiko had a more practical rather than decorative purpose. This embroidery method was used to reinforce worn fabrics, patch up garments, and quilt clothing.
Today, Japanese Sashiko embroidery is admired for its aesthetic appeal, featuring pure lines, graphic patterns, and a minimalist style.
Le Bonheur des Dames offers Sashiko embroidery kits for both counted stitch embroidery (running stitch) and traditional embroidery (pre-printed fabric patterns).
